Kelly + Michael – Married

The beautiful Omni Royal Orleans was the setting when Kelly and Michael said “I Do” last month in New Orleans.  “Ethereal” is the first word that came to mind when I saw the bride and her bridesmaids in those fabulous pink dresses, standing in the gorgeous natural light pouring into the hotel lobby!  Needless to say, they garnered quite the attention as they scurried down Royal Street to get some street shots in, strategically avoiding the groom and his groomsmen doing the same.  The wedding took place in the Omni courtyard while family and friends looked on as the bride and groom exchanged their vows, along with the coolest rings ever!  After a great evening of celebrating with their loved ones, the bride donned the groom’s jacket to protect herself from the unseasonably cold evening as they jumped into their awaiting carriage and whisked off into happily ever after!  Congratulations Kelly and Michael.

It’s Wedding Season in New Orleans!

It’s springtime in New Orleans, the azaleas are in bloom on St. Charles Avenue, we’re gearing up for French Quarter Fest and Jazzfest, and wedding season is just around the corner!  So with a little time on our hands, you know that day or two between St. Patrick’s Day and Easter when nothing else was going on, we partnered with some of our favorite New Orleans vendors for a stylized wedding shoot, just to make sure we are on our game!

We used the beautiful Columns Hotel on St. Charles Avenue, an historic New Orleans hotel chocked full of southern charm, as the backdrop for our stylized shoot.  Given the venue’s ambiance of age-old elegance, we chose a vintage gown and birdcage veil from Linda Lee Bridal salon for our model.  The staff at Salon Couvie took every detail into account, and were amazing in helping us find the perfect makeup and hairstyle to coordinate with the style of our shoot.  And Carrollton Flower Market provided the bridal bouquet of tulips and roses, which coordinated perfectly with our model’s killer shoes!

We are delighted with the results and are grateful for the generous assistance and cooperation of every one of our vendors.  Better yet, we are confident that when your big day arrives, we can say “I got this”!
